Buckhead

Buckhead is a large, beautiful area of Atlanta just north of Midtown.

The area is home to 55 neighborhoods which include rolling estates, wooded lands and the city's tallest residential highrises. Buckhead has a population of 67,000. (14,000 households live in elevator-served mid- and highrise buildings). During the day, an estimated 135,000 people populate the area.

Buckhead is popularly known for its nightlife district in Buckhead Village and has been called Georgia's "dining room." There are more than 100 restaurants and bars within 2 1/2 blocks of the intersection of Peachtree Road and East Paces Ferry.

Buckhead is also the Southeast's shopping mecca, playing host to Phipps Plaza, Lenox Mall and dozens of boutique shops.

The Robb Report has listed Buckhead as "one of the top 10 affluent places" in the nation.

Eclipse250 Pharr Road, Buckhead

Eclipse is a 21-story building with a history longer than it is tall. Originally called Alta Buckhead, the Buckhead tower was scheduled for construction first in the fall of 2001. According to Emporis.com, the development was delayed repeatedly for economic reasons. There were a large number of competing projects scheduled to arrive on the market at the same time.

The project was nearly cancelled in 2002 but received its build orders in September of that year thanks to the success of the Metropolis in Midtown. The project was delayed to Spring 2003 and then delayed once more because of the invasion of Iraq, Emporis.com reported.

In August 2003, developers Novare Group and Wood Partners finally, and quietly, broke ground on the 358-unit building.

The project is located a block from the 20-story 325 Paces View.

Amenities in the building include the now-standard set from Novare and Wood. These include floor-to-ceiling windows, granite countertops, and hardwood floors. The building has a workout room with showers and dressing rooms for men and women. There's also a separate room for classes such yoga or aerobics. The room features an incredible view of the Midtown and Downtown skyline.

The club room has flat-screen TVs, video games, cable and Internet access for residents and their guests, plus a fireplace.

There's a full-sized pool on the club level.

Sales began in May 2004. One bedrooms in Eclipse range from the $150's to $220's. Two bedrooms range from the $240's to $300's.
