Mandarin Oriental Atlanta is a $285 million mixed-use luxury hotel and condo tower being brought to Atlanta Midtown by Tivoli Properties and the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, headquartered in Hong Kong. This incredible hotel and residential brand has been consistently recognized by influential global publications as an outstanding luxury hotel company, including Travel + Leisure, Conde Nast Traveler, and Luxury Travel magazines. The Mandarin Oriental Atlanta is one of the newest to join the brand's North American portfolio, following Boston, Miami, New York, San Francisco, and Washington, D.C. (and planned Las Vegas and Chicago). The brand operates and has under development 41 hotels, representing over 10,000 rooms in 25 countries, with 17 hotels in Asia, 14 in The Americas, and 10 in Europe and North Africa. The Mandarin Oriental Atlanta will join 12 others in the brand's mixed hotel/residential portfolio.
This planned 53-story mixed-use development will be located at 1138 Peachtree on the fast-emerging "Midtown Mile" project that will tout endless options for first-class shopping, dining, and entertainment. Additionally, the property is moments from Atlanta's Art & Cultural District, offering attractions such as the Woodruff Arts Center, High Museum of Art, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, and 14th Street Playhouse, as well as the Atlanta Botanical Gardens nearby. This development will be among the tallest structures in Atlanta, featuring a soaring glass facade with gorgeous panoramic views of the city, including historic Piedmont Park. The Mandarin Oriental Atlanta is being designed by Smallwood, Reynolds, Stewart, Stewart & Associates with Hardin Construction Co. LLC as the builder. Hirsch Bedner & Associates is the interior design contractor. Estimated delivery is 2011.
